29 Feb 2004FROM : Arthur G (Glasgow, Scotland)

Hello there. I'm glad the trip has got off to a good start. Behave!

29 Feb 2004FROM : BA Loyal   via FlyerTalk

Wow - that's great! Well done and have a good trip!

29 Feb 2004FROM : couscous   via FlyerTalk

One word for you : WOW !!!

29 Feb 2004FROM : jptasker   via FlyerTalk

You have a very nice site, and it has encouraged me to do the same, when I do in fact make my trip around the world this coming May. I have read all that you have added to the site so far. You make me so jealous ... LOL   I am very excited to see what you add in the future and to see how all of your flights turn out. Thanks for the hard work

29 Feb 2004FROM : ACfly   via FlyerTalk

WOW!! This is absolutely amazing ... to have a fully dedicated website to document this trip ... well done. I'm doing a RTW this fall and would love to set one of these up ... is it hard to do? Thanks for sharing.

29 Feb 2004FROM : fbgdavidson   via FlyerTalk

WOW! Nice report. Look forward to reading all the upcoming stuff.

29 Feb 2004FROM : pallensf   via FlyerTalk

A+++

01 Mar 2004FROM : Marc T (Canada)

Frankly the best record of a RTW trip online to date. I commend you on putting together such a fantastic trip, having the fortitude to embark on it, and the knowledge to create a great record online. Well done!

01 Mar 2004FROM : Ron G (New Jersey, USA)

This is a terrific report so far. My wife and I were in Singapore in November and stayed at Raffles. We were in the pub on the river right where your photo of the river was taken. Can't wait for the continuing saga. Hope you have a wonderful trip.

01 Mar 2004FROM : Mark T (Oldham, England)

What a very well-planned trip. Were you a Gold BA Executive member before you set off? You must be one by now! I'm interested that BA is now using A320s on its EDI-LHR flights. The A320 joins an impressive line-up of past types on this route, such as the 757, Trident 3, Vanguard and Viscount.

01 Mar 2004FROM : Ray W (Reading, England)

But who ate all the pies???

01 Mar 2004FROM : Gene

Hi there. I think it's a great idea to have an e-diary. You have it well laid out and organized, I'm looking forward to reading about your journey as it progresses. Happy trails!

01 Mar 2004FROM : JBR (Regina, Canada)

It's not my intention to lay it on too thick, but your diary is impressive, addictive, detailed and written with humour and enthusiasm!

01 Mar 2004FROM : Karyn & Chris Johnson

Looking forward to reading about your trip over the next few weeks.

01 Mar 2004FROM : daph   via FlyerTalk

What an impressive site. I like your famous quotations in the introduction. I anticipate much pleasure in the coming weeks while reading you diary and seeing your photos - even enjoy seeing the food and hotel pictures. May this voyage be all that you hoped it would be and take care!

01 Mar 2004FROM : hauteboy   via FlyerTalk

Wow ... excellent site! I like how you've listed all the flights and hotels.

01 Mar 2004FROM : yyzflyer   via FlyerTalk

You obviously put a lot of work into your site and your trip. Thanks for sharing.

01 Mar 2004FROM : FLYGVA   via FlyerTalk

A great site   I am looking forward to reading the reports of the following flights.

01 Mar 2004FROM : edi-traveller   via FlyerTalk

Astonishing!! We'll have to have an Edinburgh night out to hear about your adventures when you get home.

01 Mar 2004FROM : NoWindowSeat   via FlyerTalk

If there ever was a vote for a report of the year, the winner would have to do something quite special to beat this report's forecasted result! Great stuff, keep it going!

02 Mar 2004FROM : Hariharan S

Very good effort. Impressive layout of the website, easy navigation and good attention to detail. A pleasure to go through the site. Happy travels.

02 Mar 2004FROM : David

Fantastic site, the trip looks wonderful! Enjoy it! (Am I the first in the guest book? Do I win a prize?) Cheers - safe travels.

08 Mar 2004FROM : Cygnus X-1   via FlyerTalk

I bookmarked your site as your reports are 1000 times better CNN's Richard Quest's Economy RTW on-going competitor!

09 Mar 2004FROM : Badri N (Pittsburgh, PA, USA)

Truly magnificent. Inspiring. I'll check back often - wish you safe travels everywhere!!!

11 Mar 2004FROM : John P (Cork, Ireland)

Hi from the green-eyed monster in Cork, Ireland! Sitting in my home-office looking out at gale-force winds and driving rain (remind you of home??! ) Hope you continue to have a ball! I'm v. envious of your trip, having recently experienced BA F (ex-LIS) for the first time. Really enjoying each instalment and look forward to the next ones. Have a safe trip.

14 Mar 2004FROM : Calum B (Glasgow, Scotland)

Have enjoyed hearing about your adventures down under. Funny to think that your Sunday 14th has ended while mine is just getting underway! Adelaide looked a lot warmer than when I visited in August. Looking forward to seeing how your week ahead in NZ pans out. Cheers for now!

15 Mar 2004FROM : Chris R (UK)

What a great idea! Inspirational. I hope you enjoy your trip and thanks for giving us the website to read. Bookmarked!!!

Hi there! I am not quite done reading your site, but already my jaw has dropped down to ...

Here!

Well, lower even! Hee-hee ... yikes! Your travelling itineraries really are for me to envy. Sigh ... how I wish to travel as much as you, though I'm very happy you are so lucky. Keep flying and do keep us posted. Have bookmarked your site.

I just bookmarked your site! This is really one of the best trip reports I have ever seen. Thank you!!!

21 Mar 2004FROM : Seat2A (Alaska, USA)

This is certainly one of the finest examples of text and photography blended into a Trip Report that I have ever seen! A real joy to read so far! Thanks for all your hard work on this report and the website. Have a great trip!!!

21 Mar 2004FROM : waihi49   via FlyerTalk

25 Mar 2004FROM : flamboyant 1   via FlyerTalk

Awesome, better than my lazy work three months ago! Great trip report. Nicely organized on a great website!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

26 Mar 2004FROM : QF WP (Brisbane, Australia)

Great to have met you in BNE and I'm writing this about 1 hour into your SYD/HNL QF3 flight. Enjoy the AA experience but remember how good you had it Down Under (particularly the Qantas Pubs)!!

01 Apr 2004FROM : Sherri

We have really enjoyed reading about your adventures. Our paths may have crossed while you were in Maui. We were two of the throng of whale watchers gathering about Lahaina harbor around 6:30 that morning. You really should have joined us. Viewing the humpbacks from a thirty-foot rubber raft is a truly amazing experience. We went 11 1/2 times during our five days in Maui. We experienced engine trouble on trip number twelve and were rescued by another boat. Hope every part of your trip is as much fun as what you have experienced so far.

03 Apr 2004FROM : Bretteee   via FlyerTalk

Fantastic report. Thank you.

04 Apr 2004FROM : Ian K (Croftamie, Scotland)

Hi RTW Man, A colleague of mine told me about your website. Looks like you're having a braw trip - I've enjoyed reading your accounts of first class travel, which is something I will never be able to afford ... It has brought a wee bit of sunshine to a dreich evening in Croftamie anyway!

Ian, SAH Man (Stay At Home Man)

05 Apr 2004FROM : CharlesMD   via FlyerTalk

What a great trip report! I absolutely loved reading every part of it!

06 Apr 2004FROM : Bobbie (Brisbane, Australia)

Stumbled across your site (via recommendation from frequentflyer.com.au newsletter) and have spent the last three hours reading your entire journey ... and what a journey it has been! Feel like I've been half-way around the world without leaving home Brisbane has certainly cooled down since you were here (it'd want to, huh?) Your diary has been an interesting read ... technology has certainly been a great help for us "voyeurs". Safe travels ... you're on the home straight!

06 Apr 2004FROM : Ray B (Perth, Australia)

Great reading, still sifting through all the great info and additional websites. Keep up the great work - very informative.

06 Apr 2004FROM : PhilH   via FlyerTalk

As you're nearing the end of your trip now, I just wanted to add my congratulations and admiration to you for the best trip report I've ever read. It has made me almost feel that I've been on the trip with you! I'm now more determined than ever to do my own RTW trip, have already begun planning, but I'll not be allowed to take 6 weeks off work, so heaven knows when I'll manage to fit it in!!! Thanks again.

09 Apr 2004FROM : sftrvlr   via FlyerTalk

Welcome home! Thanks for taking us all along with you, and meeting up with some of us along the way. Looking forward to your next RTW jaunt.

10 Apr 2004FROM : John P (Cork, Ireland)

Welcome Home! (Although I'm now sulking a little as I won't have any more trip reports from you in the near future - I have become rather addicted ) What a great trip and the Ultimate Report!! My brother in law and his girlfriend are doing a RTW in Oneworld Economy next month for 5 months from East to West, but will be visiting many of the places you have been, so this is great information for them! This has actually whetted my appetite for such a trip - I may try to do one next year ...

10 Apr 2004FROM : Badri N (Pittsburgh, PA, USA)

Don't tell me it's over!!! I'm almost inclined to buy you another RTW ticket so I can read more ... well, I said almost! Great job, mate - now enjoy the well earned rest until the next time.

10 Apr 2004FROM : yevlesh2   via FlyerTalk

Great report!

14 Apr 2004FROM : Amy (Chicago, IL, USA)

Thank you for sharing your amazing journey with all of us drooling over your reports, sitting in our offices green with envy. I really enjoyed living through your experiences, and hope to do my own RTW trip someday soon. Congratulations on putting together such an ambitious journey, and welcome home!

15 Apr 2004FROM : mwp2paris   via FlyerTalk

I just want to thank you for a great read over the past few weeks ... the layout (amazing), text, menus, photos ... it was just above and beyond. I was right there with you the entire trip and one day will do my own RTW but until then, I loved every minute of yours.

21 Apr 2004FROM : olafman   via FlyerTalk

It looks like a true FTer's dream vacation. Great job on keeping us all abreast of your travels. I've done one Oneworld Explorer before and look forward to the next! It's the best way to travel!

23 Apr 2004FROM : Dejan K (Washington DC, USA)

Thanks to frequentflyer.com, I was able to follow your amazing journey from the start and was awaiting your next stop entries on a daily basis sitting in my office. One day I hope to do something similar. Great job on the website and the setup. Thank you for including us in your wonderful trip and giving us the great info  and additional websites. Until next time!

11 May 2004FROM : Gae (Coffs Harbour, Australia)

I've just stumbled across your website following the Frequent Flyer link! This is a great job and I can't wait to read all about your adventures! Hope you enjoyed your days in Australia. I'm situated on the east coast (Coffs Harbour) half way between Sydney and Brisbane, a little bit of paradise!

Website is sooooo much cleaner and easier to follow - well done that man! I wish I could holiday as much as you do! I have certainly seen the world, but you seem to have made a habit out of it - better habit to have than a few I could think of!

06 Jul 2007FROM : Oksana H

Wow, this is fantastic! And a far better read than many of the travel articles in the nationals and a great reference source for those planning visits to the places you’ve visited. Keep them rolling in!

08 Jul 2007FROM : Margaret K (Inverness, Scotland)

I really enjoyed your trip report. You have the gift of making the readers feel as if they are on the trip with you. Great reading!
